This is How It's Done.
You've got to appreciate a good bunch of leaders who plan a great activity like this.
Mix a little water, some boats, some meaningful fireside chats, boys teaching boys the gospel...and you've got yourself a great Priest/Venturing Crew activity.
Plenty of high adventure to get the adrenaline flowing--with some smooth segways into gospel instruction.
The theme of this outing was "Preside, Provide, and Protect"--straight from The Family: A Proclamation to the World.
And we couldn't have had higher caliber instructors.... Bishop Juchau led two firesides (his last one with two broken ribs!); our Young Men's President, Ammon Jones, taught a session; and our Priest Quorum Advisor, Ryan Jones, led several.
Oh, and let's not forget the young men themselves. There's nothing better than having young men teach the gospel to each other.
And a big thanks to Devin Dyer and Mark Messick for bringing the boats!
